Sir John Browne, Lord Mayor of London is my 14th great grandfather.

I noticed that many of the well-known people that are distant cousins of mine usually share one of just a couple of common ancestors with me. This fellow that we discuss here, Sir John Browne, is one of them. In later posts I will refer back to this post to reiterate this fact.

I am also looking out for memberships in exclusive clubs and ties to Mary Magdalene which I have found plenty of! Why is this important? I am tracing the RH negative bloodline which also happens to be the royal bloodline of many European and African countries and many believe is the bloodline of King David of Judah/Israel, Mary Magdalene, John the Baptist and Jesus. The Pharoahs of Egypt are rumored to be RH- as well. I just read that King Rames the II's mummy was blood tested and he was B- which is what I am.

Sir John Browne, Mercer

Sir John Browne was Sheriff of London from 1472-1473 and Mayor of London from 1480-1481. He was Knighted on January 6th of 1487. He served as Auditor from 1475-1477.

He was a member of the Mercers Company and the Master Mercer of he following years: 1472, 1477, 1485 and 1492.
Mercers is an exclusive club which still exists today in London. They are under patronage by the crown. They own significant properties in the UK and their mission is philanthropic. Its also referred to as a Livery Company. Definition below: "Livery Companies are a creature unique to the City of London (in that their members still have a civic role as an electorate) whereas Freemasonry operates in many countries. Many Livery Companies require their members to be professionally qualified and practising in their respective trade, craft or profession."
"Many learned historians have researched the origins of Freemasonry, and some of them have put forward the plausible theory that Freemasonry grew out of the Livery Companies, probably in the late 17th Century in the City of London following a split between operative and speculative members of the Masons’ Company. Hard facts are difficult to come by and there will be opinions for and against the Livery Companies having been a progenitor of Freemasonry." Be that as it may, Sir John Browne was clearly a very important and connected man. He worked under three different Kings: Edward IV of England (my
fourth cousin 16 times removed), Richard III of England  (my fourth cousin 16 times removedand Henry VII of England (my 6th cousin 13 times removed).

Sir John Browne died on Jan. 1st 1498.
He was father of William Browne (Mayor 1513-1514), and uncle of William Browne (Mayor 1507-1508). It is a curious coincidence that both William Brownes died in their respective years of office as Mayor. John Browne was ancestor of the Earls of Pomfret, the Lords Petre and the Cave-Browne-Cave Baronets

It's interesting to note that he requested to be buried at Saint Mary Magdalene parish church.

This church denotes a connection to Mary Magdalene. It seems many members of the same exclusive club were also buried there. The church was destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666 and not rebuilt. It seems that the baronets for Nova Scotia under the name Browne is yet unclaimed. Maybe I should call someone?  Perhaps I am the next owner of Oak Island? Wouldn't that be a plot twist!
