My 13th great grandfather Sir James Croft

My 8th Great Grandfather Captain Roger Burlingame

What is most interesting to me about Capt. Roger Burlingame is the fact that his last name means "sons of the Cup Bearer" which could be a reference to the Sangreal or Holy Grail. He was clearly a very brave and adventurous person, a leader, a man of faith and someone not afraid to oppose authority. He also had knowledge of navigation and digging tunnels. I believe he was a Freemason but I have no direct proof of it yet. Also, he left an "old sword" among the list of " cattle and chattle" left to his descendants. Who does that?  He was a Captain in the British Army which brought him to America - Boston on May 10, 1650 to be exact. He resigned and purchased two large plots of land in America (Rhode Island/Connecticut area). He was married 3 times and had 10 children. He lived to be 98 years old.
