Here's look at some of the great places we will visit during Thursday's ART BUS Tour:

Happy Belly Restaurant and Juice Bar is a vegetarian focused restaurant and juice bar that also offers locally made Valhalla Coffee and Mad Hat Tea. Owner Jennifer Johnson lives by the 90% rule.... eating vegetables, fruits and grains 90% of the time and meat 10% of the time. She uses this 90% rule in the Happy Belly menu. Happy Belly proudly features the paintings of multi-media artist Jeremy Gregory during the month of March. Gregory has been recognized as one of the Puget Sound’s premiere artists. The dark fairytale quality of Gregory’s paintings evoke curiosity paired with a subtle familiarity. For more info or to purchase tickets, visit http://buff.ly/1Co390S

Museum of Glass is proud to present Chihuly Drawings. This new exhibition, organized across mediums—graphite, charcoal, and acrylic—will show work that directly represents the energy behind Dale Chihuly’s artistic process. He describes this energy as “spontaneous, fast, immediate,” and this thirty-five- year survey of over 180 drawings conveys this immediacy as never seen before. The excitement of Chihuly’s two- dimensional work is in its unpredictability and organic expressiveness—the same elements that distinguish the artist’s signature work in glass.

Rampart Antiques is pleased to welcome us to see behind the scenes of the "Why Adam?" show which is an educational and entertaining TV show about the science behind everyday life. We will see the TV studio currently under construction and meet the host of the show, Adam C. Boyd. We will also be serving the Puget Sound Pizza at this stop. For more info or to purchase tickets, visit http://buff.ly/1Co390S

The 1120 Creative House GRAND OPENING! Buzz has steadily grown about the recent creative activity in the 1120 Pacific Avenue building. Artists, designers, and entrepreneurs have filled up 12 studios, activating the entire second floor. The open architecture of this 1970’s-modernist office space provides an unusually complimentary setting for the arts in downtown Tacoma. This grand opening is the first opportunity for the public to explore phase one of Spaceworks’ largest project to date. The event will include open artist studios, art exhibits throughout the entire space, a new installation by artist/illustrator Erika Rier commissioned by Spaceworks,  music by John Purkey, Patrick Galactic, and DJ Sean The Shaman, Snacks, refreshments and a no-host bar. For more info or to purchase tickets, visit http://buff.ly/1Co390S

The Forum is located in what was once the historic Olympus Café inside Hotel Olympus and showcases the original asphalt tile and a handcrafted bar with wood carvings and stained glass, built in 1897 in France by Franciscan Monks. The Olympus Hotel, built and opened in 1909 by the founder of the Olympia Brewery, was considered Tacoma’s finest hotel. Built for a cost of $65,000, it became the home of the famed Olympus Café,  Supper Club and the Mirror Room.  The Forum offers the best burgers, sandwiches, salads, craft cocktails, and features mixed media art by Sonia Jewell. After a 30 year hiatus from picking up a paint brush she started painting again just last year after her divorce.  She finds painting to be a way to express herself and feelings and it is very cathartic.  She uses acrylic on canvas for most paintings and mixed media on canvas for others.  She started a poppy series that she is planning to do 17 of some of what you will see on display tonight.  Her style is abstract and she has found a new love for painting and will never put the brushes down again. For more info or to purchase tickets, visit http://buff.ly/1Co390S
