The always fantastic Julie Luke of Luke Arts always has reasonable and stellar prices on art and prints. This can't always be said for artists....so it's nice to know that adornment for your walls are attainable.
Art is good for the soul after all. Here are a few of her current pieces you can purchase.
  
"Illusions of Fear" 2012.She made three of these prints in  size 8x20 with custom hand made wood Luke frames (black) for 200.00 each (which includes shipping)VERY limited and one is already spoken for.

"Fragments of Will and Flight" 2012 acrylic on vinyl lp 12 inch.

"Layers of the Core" 2012 11x14 acrylic on Bristol Comes framed and matted(16x20 frame).

Next month's ART BUS Riders will be in for a treat because Mrs. Luke will be including a little something special in the VIP gift bags.

Peace Out is a non-profit that gives our youth awareness and tools they need to learn about and contribute to charitable causes. These ladies give participating kids a positive outlook on life and help them to raise funds for causes the kids are passionate about. Encouraging teen philanthropists. How awesome is that?

This session, Peace Out is giving a ticket to the last Rainiers game of the season (now sold out) for every donation that exceeds $15. Tickets include ballpark meal of hot dog, chips and soda. Money for a good cause and a ballgame!? Hello, that's damn thrifty and pretty rad.
  

PEACE OUT NIGHT AT THE TACOMA RAINIERS!! Saturday, Aug 25 at 7:05 pm (tailgate auction in the parking lot before the game includes a teen run fundraising carnival!) Tickets are $16. Profits go to 20 local charities (selected by our Peace Out teens) and to the Peace Out program. What's in a name? Who are the Jossy's and where did they come from?

I decided to research my Jossy Patriarchal line as far back as I could. I made it all the way back to the 1300s and along the way I learned some things. For one thing my last name has evolved over time. My father spelled his last name Jossy but a few generations back they spelled it Jossi. Go back a few more and it becomes von Jossa. This journey took me from Washington State to Oregon to Switzerland and eventually Germany. I also learned that the "von" represents nobility.  I also noticed that they repeated the same first names a lot. There were a lot of Peter's for example. Peter is a very old name. The people of ancient Greece used it and its said to mean "rock." Of course Peter was also one of the disciples of Jesus which is probably where most people know it from but Peter the disciple was nick-named that by Jesus. Elon Musk isn't the only one interested in the underground

I've always been fascinated with tunnels. As a young girl I went spelunking on a school field trip through several caves in the Ozark Mountains. I couldn't tell you where exactly but I vividly remember one cave that we had to go down through a small opening down into a huge cavern where we camped inside for the night. It was as big as a football field. Another cave we had to wade through red clay almost knee deep. As an adult I visited Montana and we went into a small narrow cave just tall enough to walk upright and narrow enough to be able to touch both sides of the cave with my hands. Probably to the annoyance of my companions, I couldn't help but to sing as we walked because the sound was so amazing in there. Cave resonance I learned recently is a real thing and can be very powerful at healing and accessing our third eye spirituality.
