The Duchess does Old Rainier Brewery Artwalk

A couple of years ago my friend Linda Lapping, a fellow Tacoman, met a nice guy and they really hit it off. Eventually she moved in with him at the Old Rainier Brewery Building, a mecca for artists to live and work in Seattle. Its an amazing place and thanks to her they have an amazing artwalk now. I was late to the party as this has been going on for well over a year now (I believe on a quarterly basis) but I finally made it up there last week. These are the photos I took. I'm not going to explain each of them because I was having too much fun and I had way to many inspiring ideas flowing through my mind to ask the appropriate questions.

What's in a name? Who are the Jossy's and where did they come from?

I decided to research my Jossy Patriarchal line as far back as I could. I made it all the way back to the 1300s and along the way I learned some things. For one thing my last name has evolved over time. My father spelled his last name Jossy but a few generations back they spelled it Jossi. Go back a few more and it becomes von Jossa. This journey took me from Washington State to Oregon to Switzerland and eventually Germany. You mean to tell me Jesus from the Bible was also an Aries like me?

Art by Jave Dali In an earlier blog I mentioned the Three Wisemen from the Bible (when I discovered that a lot of men in my Patriarchal line were named after one of them called Melchior). During the research for that blog entry I came across an interesting theory that Jesus was born in April. This would mean Jesus was an Aries like me. (side note: Since this really isn't about my ancestry like the other blogs are, I should also mention that Geni.com says that  Jesus   is  my  10th   cousin   81 times removed .) Jesus being an Aries kinda makes sense to me as Aries are outspoken people who tend to make their own paths in life. What do you think? Elon Musk isn't the only one interested in the underground

I've always been fascinated with tunnels. As a young girl I went spelunking on a school field trip through several caves in the Ozark Mountains. I couldn't tell you where exactly but I vividly remember one cave that we had to go down through a small opening down into a huge cavern where we camped inside for the night. It was as big as a football field. Another cave we had to wade through red clay almost knee deep. As an adult I visited Montana and we went into a small narrow cave just tall enough to walk upright and narrow enough to be able to touch both sides of the cave with my hands. Probably to the annoyance of my companions, I couldn't help but to sing as we walked because the sound was so amazing in there. Cave resonance I learned recently is a real thing and can be very powerful at healing and accessing our third eye spirituality.
