Home Decor Tuesday-a peak inside Modality Furniture (July 10th)

Last week I announced some of the movers and shakers making their way on the scene in Downtown. This week we take a peek into one of them.

Modality Furniture
821 Pacific Avenue, Tacoma, 253.327.1198

Owner and interior designer Laurel Whittaker is looking to bring functional, beautiful pieces to your home. An artisan shopping experience, with artisan quality and personal service. All pieces on site are custom upholsterd but also available to be taken straight to your home. As a furniture dealer Whittaker has a huge inventory to choose from whether it be versatile rugs for inside and outside use to an array of comfy couches and plush chairs.

Still in the beginning stages of setting up the store, the displays are warm and welcoming. Whittaker says we can expect an expansion to the back room space and she hopes to utilize wall space allowing young, student artists to hang their pieces for sale and exposure for a small percentage commission. This goes to show her Go Local mentality and community spirit.

While there's no in-house delivery available, she suggested that if you make arrangements with her ahead of time, Whittaker can subcontract some muscles and a truck for you.

Storefront facing Pacific Avenue - its where Ever After Shop used to be next to India Mahal (9th & Pacific Ave)

Perfect chair for a reading nook

This one feels a little retro to me. I love the pop of color from the throw pillow

More pops of color and a texture quite pleasing on this grey designer couch.
(You can expect to see this guy in an upcoming edition of my "What Your Couch Says About You" series)

This dining room table would make a lovely dining space.

Le Sigh - gorgeous red framed mirror

Functional and beautiful coffee table with just enough of a distressed industrial look to spice up your living space

When you visit this lovely space don't forget to mention the Duchess and her ladies sent you. We warmly welcome Modality to the neighborhood! Its so nice to be able to beautify your living space without leaving downtown Tacoma!

XOXO,

Lady Jacqueline
