Welcome to this week's Fashion Friday blog. I'm still filling in here until I can find a new fashionista to take over. Today we visit Catwalk, Envy, Sonja Clothes to Live in and Vanity. These are all really great places to find on-trend looks and unique designs. First stop is Catwalk a new pop-up boutique with clothing created by local designers, jewelry by local jewelry designers, purses and hats by local designers and art by local artists. You will go nuts when you see all these cool and innovative designs! The "pop-up" part refers to the fact that this store is only going to be there temporarily until the space its in is taken over by a real tenant. Want to find sparkly jewelry that is super unique? I know, me too! So, the other day I checked out the jewelry by Linda Danforth Designs at Catwalk . In-house fashion designers are surrounded by fine art and other local delectables. Open Tuesday-Saturday Noon to 6pm and Sundays Noon to 5pm. I found lots of choices of bracelets, necklaces and earrings. I didn't see any rings on this visit so I'll have to try back. For bracelets, there were some adjustable leather ones with stones and crystals and some were larger to be worn as anklets. Isn't this cute and perfect for summer? Is there anything more rewarding than a project to improve the home paired with a newly learned craft? Like when you invest yourself into it and lo and behold, there is an actual finished product? Not to mention the sense of pride that comes with a job well done. Who doesn't love that feeling? Well done you!   In my pursuit of local courses and workshops I came across Throwing Mud Gallery. Located in the heart of Old Town on North 30th. They have hand-made goods from all over the Pacific Northwest including jewelery, teapots, goblets and other stylish home accessories.
