Fashion Friday (Aug. 3rd, 2012) I can't resist things that sparkle!
Want to find sparkly jewelry that is super unique? I know, me too! So, the other day I checked out the jewelry by Linda Danforth Designs at Catwalk.

Catwak is a popup fashion boutique/art gallery in downtown Tacoma. In-house fashion designers are surrounded by fine art and other local delectables. Open Tuesday-Saturday Noon to 6pm and Sundays Noon to 5pm.
I found lots of choices of bracelets, necklaces and earrings. I didn't see any rings on this visit so I'll have to try back. For bracelets, there were some adjustable leather ones with stones and crystals and some were larger to be worn as anklets. Isn't this cute and perfect for summer?
There also were quite a few copper ones. Some of these bangles were made from wire from Home Depot's electrical department and others were made from recycled twisted copper wire from an old hot tub (wow, talk about eco friendly!).
Did you know Linda also teaches classes on how to make these leather and copper bracelets? Link here to check the schedule!
Next, I checked out the necklaces. I found lots of different styles including: lariat chains (these are so stylish and no clasp!), "floating chokers," and a local favorite, the 253 <3, in both the 1.0 and 2.0 designs.
Also, her most popular necklace is a drop pendant druzy quartz. Stunning! These go fast though. Maybe because they're as pretty on the back (more organic, less sparkly) as they are on the front.
For earrings, I wished I could go home with ALL of them. I mean, who else do you know with Shark Tooth freshwater pearl ones? Or who else can say their earrings were handmade right down to the shape of the earwire?? Really, I didn't see any two pairs alike. These make great gifts but maybe buy two pairs that are similar in case you want to keep one for yourself!
If you'd like to make a purchase of her jewelry from Catwalk, Linda is offering Duchess of Downtown readers 50% off of any item or 25% off your total purchase for one visit (see coupon below). Also, if you're interested in learning how to make your own jewelry use the other coupon for 2-for-1 classes:
